In 1997 a German Shepherd Dog named Mundo developed severe allergies to cleaning products (carpet powder). After many vets and helpless months later, Mundo's condition worsened.
Motivated by determination and driven by the vision to heal Mundo, Sevi started concocting healing potions and soaps made with 100% organic and botanical ingredients in a tiny NY apartment. Word got out, people with dogs just like Mundo who needed help started asking questions. An educational site soon followed, quickly turned into something not expected due to overwhelming response and requests, thus giving them the extra paw to start their own tiny earth-friendly canine company.
Today Mundo's canine and people team with a united goal, proudly formulates, manufactures, packages and shares Mundo's organic, cruelty free and earth friendly dog products with the rest of the sensitive dogs out there. Mundo Botanica, always handcrafted, honest and always earth friendly. Their goal has always been about making a difference, being honest and creating products that are based on their way of life -- straight forward, honest and pure. They are proud to have accomplished their goals.
A little bit more about Mundo ...
Mundo was born on June 1995 in Prince Frederick, MD and was one of the 3 fuzzy pups of Nando Vom Mastholter Land and Isa Vom Hallerhaus. Mundo left the Reinhart Kennel and K9 Training Facilities when she was 10 weeks old and joined the Kay Family.
She enjoyed swimming and frolicking around the fresh hiking trails as a pup. In 1995, Mundo and rest of the Kay Family relocated to New York City, thus she became an "Urban Canine". Mundo's gentle disposition made her a popular attraction around her neighborhood in NYC. Mundo's amazing concentration level and her love for hard work developed as she got older. She completed her obedience training guided by Sevi.
In 1997, Mundo fell ill after the Kay Family tried out a commercial carpet freshener for the first time in their home. She went to several veterinarians and received intensive medical care and also was put on special commercial diets. Within these 3 months her skin condition worsened. She was taken off medication and commercial diet and with Sevi's special aromatic brews, holistic home cooked diet, Mundo recovered rapidly.
Mundo's brews were used among family and friends and soon Mundo's website idea came in the picture. Using one of Mundo's nick names, the educational Cyber Canine website went up on 1998 with Mundo's leadership and Mundo became the canine editor.
With the steady growth of sales came the need for a logo and a company name. In 1998 Mundo designed (yes, she is also a talented graphic designer) the "C" paw logo. May of 2000 Mundo Botanica became the official company name and Mundo's brews were named Grrroom Dog after her signature deep growl. Currently, Mundo is busy working on a new line for super sensitive dogs with the help of her new co-pilot. In between all the hard work, she is also enjoying hanging out with her Jack Russell Terrier brother Marduk. Mundo's book "For Our Dogs" has been published and is currently available for purchase.
